The Fields of Love
The Fields of Love, subtitled "A
Musical Journey of Faith in the Heartland" is the story
of a father and son devastated by the loss of their
wife/mother. The songs weave a story that spans the broad
spectrum of human experience - despair, a pivotal tent
revival, and redemption.
Fresh off the success of being named Soloist of the Year in
the 2005 Singing News Fan Awards, Bishop brings a fresh
vigor to Everyday, resulting in a project acclaimed as his
strongest solo release yet. Bishop penned all ten songs,
including the top 10 radio hits "With Me Always" (a duet
with Lauren Talley that hit #3 in December 2006) and
"Remember Who He Is, Remember What He Does" (#6 in May
2007).
It's a
Christmas recording that sounds like a Christmas recording.
Loaded with rich arrangements of Mark's favorite Christmas
songs that he grew up with, this recording makes you want to
fix some hot cocoa and start trimming the tree. Merry
Christmas!
The stellar
follow-up recording to Can I Pray For You
continued to showcase Mark's talents as a songwriter and
vocalist. "Bring Lazarus Back" offers a thought provoking look
at Lazarus being raised from dead. "Jesus Listens" is
"as smooth as a gravy sandwich" musically, with a message that
is just a easily digested.
This is the
recording that firmly established Mark as one of Southern
Gospel Music's top singer/songwriters. Mark is the only
soloist in Southern Gospel Music history to have written,
sung, and produced two Number One songs from the same
recording. Can I Pray For You is Mark's
signature recording as a soloist.
A poignant
collection of lyrics and melodies from the heart of Mark
Bishop. Experience the sounds of Southern Gospel in a way that
is uniquely Mark Bishop with this one of a kind
recording. Features the radio single, "Cloud Nine Headed for
Ten" and the powerful epic of "Son of a Carpenter."
Mark's debut
solo release gives you an introduction to Mark as a soloist
and some musical foreshadowing of what lay ahead for Mark's
solo career. Solid songs, including the Top Ten radio
hit "Jesus Will Lift You Up" and the fan favorite
parody, "Bottled Water."
