In the letter, Governor Taft congratulated Mark on his Number One song, “Can I Pray for You” and twenty-year Gospel Music career. This special recognition was arranged by Commissioner Noah and The Representatives Quartet. "Mark Bishop has been a large part of the success of our homecoming concert for the past 15 years” states Jim McComas of the Representatives Quartet. “We consider him like family. We wanted to do something special to commemorate his first number one song as a solo artist, and are thrilled that we and his Northeast Ohio fans were able to share with him in this great accomplishment." “I am honored by this special recognition from Governor Taft,” shares Mark Bishop. “But I am even more touched by the thoughtfulness by The Representatives Quartet. Jim, Brien, Jeff, and John have been good friends for several years, and I always look forward to coming to Wooster every year to be with them. It really means a lot to me that they wanted to do something special to commemorate my first Number One song.” Pictured (left to right) – John Tawney, Jim McComas, Mark Bishop, Wayne County Commissioner Cheryl Noah, Brien Workmen, and Jeff Hackworth. |
